The first week schedule take place in the last week of August 2020. The opening match played between Dijon and Angers SCO. PSG become the champions of Ligue 1 2019-20 season due to cancellation of the season. According ‘Goal” the season will end in the month May. Téléfoot still hold the coverage rights in France and it will telecast 8 matches a week. Ronaldo's 100th and 101st international goals saw Portugal to a 2-0 win away at Sewden. Ronaldo joins Ali Daei who scored 109 times for Iran, becoming the second most international goal scorer in the history of football. The Portuguese captain scored with a beautiful dipping set-piece effort just before the half-time to mark his century of goals in style. Steven Bergwijn's maiden international goal wins the match for Netherlands: UEFA Nations League

Netherlands forward  Steven Bergwijn  scored his first international goal just past the hour mark to secure a hard-fought 1-0 win over  Poland  in their Nations League clash on Friday as heavy home pressure finally paid dividends at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Netherlands, the runners-up of the inaugural edition of the competition were playing their first match after the departure of Ronald Koeman to Barcelona. Although without him, their performance did not falter. Frenkie de Jong's long range cross-field pass found  Hans Hateboer who in turn headed the ball down to Bergwijn for a simple tap-in from close range to score his maiden international goal. Final Score: Germany 1(Werner 53') -1(Gaya 90') Spain Spain  scored a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser through  Jose Luis Gaya  to draw 1-1 away to  Germany  on Thursday in their Nations League opener and first international in almost 10 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Local lad Timo Werner opened the scoring six minutes after half-time, threading a low shot between two defenders to beat Spain GK David de Gea to give the hosts the lead. "We fought hard and I am a bit frustrated with that late equaliser," said Germany coach Joachim Low. "But I am satisfied with the effort. We pressured them, did not often allow them to get in the game. We had the better chances and given we have never played in this lineup we did it well." As per the official website,  “UEFA and its associations wanted more sporting meaning in national team football, with associations, coaches, players and supporters increasingly of the opinion that friendly matches are not providing adequate competition for national teams.” The 55 nations have been split into four leagues A,B,C and D. A is the topmost league comprising teams considered to be the strongest. The leagues are further divided into different groups. La Liga 2020-21 Fixture

The   La Liga fixture list   for the 2020-21  Spanish football  season has been confirmed less than a fortnight before the competition gets underway. The league season will get underway on the weekend of 12-13 September with the final round of fixtures to be concluded on 23 May, ahead of the scheduled European Championships next summer. Real Madrid and Getafe will start their seasons a week later than the opening weekend while Sevilla, Atlético Madrid and Barcelona will get their campaigns underway on the third matchday, alongside Elche – who were promoted via the Segunda playoffs a week ago. That means there will be seven fixtures on the opening day of action – Elche’s trip to Barcelona, Atletico Madrid hosting Sevilla and Real Madrid’s clash with Getafe will all be postponed until a later date.
